The main goal of the PortalPME is to be a technical resource, specially devoted to SME. To aid the SME officials and their computer technicians in the different aspects related to the good operation of their Communication and Information Systems.

Thereby, it is the PortalPME intention to approach the different relevant areas in the creation and maintenance of reliable Communication and Information Systems. These Systems are expected to be operative and adjusted to the Portuguese SME dimension and typology, seeking that the varied information is made available both to the technicians and to the officials and decision makers in what concerns to computer technology.

The PortalPME intention is to seek from different sources, produce and present the most relevant information, and to make this information available in such a way that it contributes to the formation and information of the SME officials and technicians.

Methodology

The task force and co-operators of the PortalPME will produce some of this information. This team will commit themselves to do this assignment with the most accuracy, acquittance and objectivity as possible. It will be expressed what they consider to be their idoneous and accurate opinion resulting from the accomplished work based on the information available at the time the work is done.

Beyond the information produced by this task force, other resources from different sources, informative, formative and technical, will be made available whenever the task force find that they help the persecution of the PortalPME goals, always obeying to accurate criteria.

The Portuguese language will be used whenever possible. However, when that cannot be done, it will be given preference to make the relevant information available timely, even if in another language.
